Barbaresco DOCG Gallina from Ugo Lequio is a red wine from the Langhe in Piedmont, made exclusively from Nebbiolo grown in the Gallina vineyards. It has an intense garnet-red colour with orange reflections. The nose shows ripe red fruits such as cherry and raspberry, with violet, tobacco, sweet spices and a light liquorice note, plus vanilla and cocoa from oak ageing. On the palate it is elegant and structured, with soft, well-integrated tannins, lively acidity and a long, refined finish. It pairs with Piedmontese dishes, braised meats and aged cheeses.
