Bruno Giacosa's Barbera d'Alba DOC is a classic red wine intended for everyday drinking. It is lively ruby with light violet hints, opening on fragrant red fruits such as cherry and plum, with floral hints and a touch of spice. The palate shows balanced acidity, soft tannins and medium body, with a clean finish of moderate persistence. It pairs with cured meats, pasta with ragu, simple roast meats and semi-aged cheeses, and is best served around 16-18 C after a few minutes' breathing.
