Pian Romualdo is a Barbera d'Alba DOC red wine made from Barbera grapes grown in the Pian Romualdo area of Monforte at about 500 metres above sea level. Red vinification takes place in steel, followed by ageing in large oak casks of 77 hectolitres for about 12 months and bottle ageing for almost a year before release.
In the glass it shows a violet-red colour with dark ruby reflections. The nose offers broad aromas of ripe black fruit and spice. The palate is dynamic, harmonious, full, rich and persistent.
It suits a whole meal, and is especially recommended with roast meats, game and aged cheeses.
