A red wine from Fratelli Alessandria, made from Barbera grapes selected from vineyards in the Alba area of Piedmont.
It is deep ruby with violet reflections. The nose shows ripe red fruit, cherries, plums, spices, vanilla and chocolate from wood ageing. On the palate it is rich and deep, with velvety tannins and lively acidity, and a long, persistent finish with fruit and spice.
It pairs with grilled red meats, mushroom and truffle dishes and aged cheeses, and suits contemplative drinking.
