A Barbera from the Vigna del Cuculo vineyard in Castiglione Falletto, in the Langhe. It has a deep ruby colour with violet reflections. The nose offers ripe red fruit such as cherry and plum, with spices, chocolate and a light trace of wood from ageing in oak barrels. The palate is solid and full, with lively acidity, soft velvety tannins and a long, persistent finish with fruity and spicy notes. It pairs well with rich meat dishes, game, mushroom and truffle dishes and aged cheeses.
