Barbera d'Asti - San Nicolao - Terre da Vino

Barbera d'Asti San Nicolao from Terre da Vino is a red wine expressing Piedmontese tradition. It has an intense ruby colour with violet reflections. The nose offers cherry, blackberry and plum, with floral violet notes and light sweet spice such as vanilla. Vinification takes place in steel, with ageing that may use large wooden casks. On the palate it is balanced, with good acidity, soft tannins and a long finish with red fruit and a slightly balsamic touch. It pairs with Piedmontese dishes, red meat and aged cheese.
