Bardstown Bourbon Company 2026 Discovery is a blend of 7, 10 and 11 year old straight bourbons, bottled at 56.4% ABV (112.8 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It is the first Discovery release under the brand's annual dated naming.
The bourbon was finished for four months in custom-made Garryana oak barrels. Garryana, also called Oregon White Oak, is native to the Pacific Northwest and can add clove and nutmeg. The finish was kept restrained. The bottle carries a painting by Louisville artist Margaret Archambault.
The nose is toasted oak, burnt sugar and baked apple cobbler. The palate has dried cherry and cinnamon bark, and the finish is long and warming with clove and nutmeg.
