This is a limited-edition Kentucky straight whiskey from Bardstown Bourbon Company, the second collaboration with Ferrand in its Collaborative Series. It is finished for 15 months in Maison Ferrand Cognac barrels, and comes in a 75cl bottle.
The nose offers black cherry, toasted oak, vanilla cream and rye spice. The palate turns to baked apple, pecan and raisin. The full-bodied flavour carries into the finish, which balances bourbon richness with Cognac character and a touch of mint.
