Bardstown Bourbon Company Origin Series Rye is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey with a 95% rye mash bill, bottled at 96 proof (48%).
It is finished for up to 6 months in hybrid barrels. A second finishing barrel is built from alternating staves of cherry wood and American oak, each toasted to a custom specification.
The nose offers ripe cherry through toasted oak, with white flower, dill and cinnamon. The palate is rich and round, with plenty of fruit.
