Bardstown Bourbon Company Sip Whiskey Private Select (60.7%)

This is a single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from Bardstown Bourbon Company, bottled at cask strength of 121.4 proof (60.7%). The mash bill is 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malted barley, and the whisky is approximately six years old. The barrel was hand-selected from the fourth floor of Rickhouse D in Bardstown. Tasting notes describe a nose of caramelised sugar, vanilla and baking spice, and a palate of rye spice, sweet corn and toasted oak. The finish is long and warm.
