Bardstown Bourbon Company West Virginia Great Barrel Co Rye Whiskey

This is a rye whiskey from Bardstown Bourbon Company, made as the company's first cooperage collaboration, with the West Virginia Great Barrel Company. The two producers created a custom blend and aged it in cherry wood barrels toasted with infrared technology. The notes describe almond, cinnamon, potpourri and baked cherry alongside traditional rye character of mint and herbal tea. The mouthfeel is full, and the palate balances lightly tannic oak with rich berry compote.
