Lochs of Jura Barrel Finish is a Kentucky whiskey from Bardstown Bourbon, a blend of straight bourbon and rye whiskey bottled at 104 proof (52% ABV) in a 750ml bottle.
After blending, it was aged for a further 32 months in single malt Scotch whisky barrels sourced from the Isle of Jura. The finish used a combination of 84% ex-bourbon and 16% ex-sherry barrels that had previously held Scotch.
The nose brings vanilla crème, blackberry compote and mint over toasted oak and cigar box. The palate is fresh spearmint, caramel and light cinnamon spice, and the finish carries fruit-forward sherry notes.
