Bardstown – Origin Series High Wheat (53%)

This is a High Wheat Bourbon from Bardstown, part of its Origin Series, bottled at 106 proof. The mashbill contains 39% wheat, which the distillery describes as the first wheated mashbill of that level on the market. It is distilled, aged and bottled on site at the estate. The nose is ripe apricot and lemon over leather and crème brûlée. The palate is bold, with oak and pastry, leading to a full-bodied finish with light spice.
