Bardstown Topflight Series S3B27 is a Kentucky straight rye from Bardstown, bottled at 60.4% in a 75cl bottle. The mashbill is 95% rye and 5% malted barley, and the whiskey is six years old.
It was finished for up to 12 months in hybrid barrels of American oak and cherry wood.
The nose has gingersnap biscuits, clove, dark fruit and a hint of chocolate. The palate shows baking spices, milk chocolate, pecan pie and coconut, followed by a long finish of caramel, graham cracker, Luxardo cherry, nutmeg and soft stone fruit.
