Barolo DOCG Brunate Vietti

A Barolo DOCG from the Brunate vineyard in La Morra, made from Nebbiolo by Vietti. The vineyard is noted for its optimal exposure and distinctive soil. It shows an intense garnet red colour with orange-tinged reflections as it matures. The wine has a rich bouquet of ripe red fruits, cherries and plums, with dried flowers, spices, tobacco and a delicate leather note. On the palate it is powerful yet refined, with silky, well-integrated tannins, lively balanced acidity and a long, broad finish with mineral and balsamic notes. It suits structured dishes such as red meats, truffle dishes and aged cheeses, and is suited to ageing.
