Castello is a Barolo DOCG from Arnaldo Rivera. Deep ruby red with light garnet reflections, it offers ripe red and black fruits, cherry and plum, with spicy, earthy and light floral notes. The palate is full-bodied with present tannins and good acidity, giving balance, and the finish is persistent with fruity and earthy returns. Decant briefly and serve at around 16-18 °C. It suits traditional dishes, red meats, braises and aged cheeses, and can be enjoyed relatively young or after some bottle ageing.
