A Barolo DOCG from the Ravera MGA in the Langhe, Piedmont, produced by Vietti from Nebbiolo grown on calcareous and marl soils. It has an intense garnet red colour. Aromas include ripe red fruit, faded flowers, tobacco, spice, mineral and earthy notes. The palate is robust, supported by solid but elegant tannins and balanced acidity, with a long, persistent finish marked by mature fruit and a light chocolate and coffee note from wood ageing. It pairs well with rich dishes such as red meat, game, mushroom dishes and aged cheeses.
