A Barolo from Poderi Luigi Einaudi, showing a bright garnet colour. The profile recalls ripe red fruit and dried rose petals, supported by sweet spices and a light tobacco note.
On the palate it has a full but slender body, with dense, polymerised tannins and a persistent finish. The balance between acidity and tannin makes it enjoyable now, while promising further complexity with time in bottle.
It pairs with braised meats, mushroom stews, savoury risottos and aged cheeses, and is best served around 16-18 C in a wide glass after brief decanting.
