This is a cask-strength whiskey from the Barrell Black Label series, bottled at 71.12% ABV (142.24 proof). It blends American and Canadian whiskeys, some of them aged for up to 25 years, distilled in Indiana, Tennessee and Canada.
The blend then had a second maturation in three Caribbean rum casks, from Jamaica, Barbados and St. Lucia. Barbados brings toasted coconut and baked apple, St. Lucia honey, mango and ginger, and Jamaica tropical fruit, molasses and allspice.
The nose shows citrus, toasted marshmallow, dried cherry and light spice. The finish is long and well structured, balancing richness, brightness and spice.
