Barrell Bourbon Cask Finish Series: Tale of Two Islands

Tale of Two Islands is a Barrell Craft Spirits bourbon finished in casks that once held a Jamaican rum. Those casks were peated Islay single malt barrels, used for the 2018 Tale of Two Islands Rum before being filled with a blend of straight bourbons. The blend draws on Indiana bourbon aged 5, 6 and 9 years and Maryland bourbon aged 5 and 6 years, distilled in the USA. The derived mash bill is 73% corn, 23% rye and 4% malted barley. The sweetness of the rum and the smokiness of the Islay casks mingle with the bourbon beneath.
