This is the Barrell Bourbon New Year 2026 Limited Edition, an annual small-batch blend from Barrell Craft Spirits. It brings together bourbons aged 5 to 16 years from Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Wyoming, Maryland, New York and Ohio, with a mash bill of 74% corn, 21% rye, 4% malted barley and 1% wheat. It is bottled at cask strength.
The colour is golden amber. The nose opens with white peach, Rainier cherry and sorrel, moving to gentian, dill and maple sap. The palate is lush, with pumpkin pie, baking spices and roasted chestnut. The finish combines tart apple, Meyer lemon, molasses and clove, with a heavy mouthfeel. Water brings out rose, lilac and elderflower.
