Barrell Bourbon New Year 2027 is the 2027 edition of Barrell Craft Spirits' annual New Year release: a blend of straight bourbons from Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Wyoming, Maryland, Texas and Ohio, blended and bottled in Kentucky. It is bottled at cask strength, 57.67% ABV (115.34 proof), in a 750ml bottle.
The components were matured in American white oak and range from 5 to 16 years old, which is not an age statement for the finished whiskey. The derived mash bill is 73% corn, 22% rye, 4% malted barley and 1% wheat.
The nose is caramel, baked apple, vanilla cream, toasted oak and baking spice. The palate has brown sugar, dark cherry, molasses, vanilla and cinnamon, and the finish is long and warming, with oak, caramelised sugar, clove and toasted nuts.
