Barrell Bourbon Tale of Two Islands is a blend of straight bourbons from the Cask Finish Series, released as the 001 Edition. It is five years old and bottled at cask strength, 59.11% (118.22 proof), in a 750ml bottle.
The finish comes from an unusual set of barrels. They first held a Jamaican rum matured in peated Islay single malt barrels, and have now been used to finish this bourbon blend.
It is described as both sweet and smoky, with the sweetness of the rum set against the smoke of the Islay casks.
