Barrell Cask Strength Whiskey 18 Year Old is a blend of American and Canadian whiskeys, sold in a 75cl bottle.
It combines 18 year old Kentucky whiskey finished in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels with Canadian whiskies aged 23 to 25 years finished in Sauternes barrels. The Cabernet adds structure and a dark, warm tone, while the Sauternes brings a soft, golden richness.
The whiskey is rich and syrupy. The nose is pawpaw and cherry pie, the palate apricot jam and a Belgian Tripel, and the finish is long and measured.
