Barrell Craft Infinite Barrel (75cl, 62%)

Infinite Barrel is a cask-strength blended whiskey from Barrell Craft Spirits of Louisville, Kentucky, in a 750ml bottle. Strength runs at around 59 to 62% depending on the batch. It is made by a continuing blending method. A large vessel holds the master blend, and at each bottling a portion is taken out and topped up with new barrels. The blend draws on Tennessee and Kentucky bourbon, Indiana whiskey, Scotch, Irish whiskey and Polish rye, so each batch differs from the last. The nose brings gingerbread, molasses, maple sugar candy and preserved citrus, with a little peat smoke. Honey and caramel apple on the palate lead to smoke, tobacco and building rye spice. The finish is long and warming, with pepper, singed marshmallow and oak char.
