This is a cask-strength bourbon from Barrell Craft Spirits, bottled at 58.21% ABV (116.42 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It blends bourbons distilled in Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee, aged between 6 and 14 years, from a mashbill of 76% corn, 20% rye and 4% malted barley.
The blend is finished for 18 months in first-use Mizunara oak barrels, which are toasted rather than charred.
The nose offers strawberry, white peach, sugar cookies and toasted corn. The palate runs from lemongrass and peppermint to Medjool dates and toffee, with coconut and sandalwood from the Mizunara. The finish is light, with cinnamon, cayenne, citrus and sandalwood.
