Barrell Craft Spirits Batch #037 Bourbon (55.7%)

Barrell Batch #037 is a cask strength bourbon from Barrell Craft Spirits, bottled at 55.7%. It is a blend of straight bourbons from three states: Indiana (8, 11 and 12 years old), Tennessee (13, 14 and 15 years old) and Kentucky (10 years old). The mash bill is given as 78% corn, 18% rye and 4% malted barley. The nose offers nectarine, caramel sauce, coffee cake, cinnamon and candied apple. Strawberry, tangerine and apple on the palate are warmed by cinnamon and rye spice, with spiced orange liqueur, candied ginger and dark chocolate emerging. The finish is warming, with rye spice, leather, dry oak and a hint of tobacco leaf and cocoa.
