Barrell Craft Spirits Decade #2 20 Year Old Whiskey (75cl, 70.7%)

Barrell Craft Spirits Decade #2 is the second release in the Decade series, a blend of whiskeys distilled in each year from 1995 to 2005. It was distilled in Canada, then blended and bottled in Kentucky at 70.65% ABV (141.3 proof) in a 750ml bottle, with whiskey from 20 to 30 years old. The blend has a secondary maturation in Spanish brandy casks and Hungarian oak casks. The brandy casks add syrupy fruit, while the Hungarian oak contributes toffee and cinnamon. The nose is vanilla and caramel. On the palate come syrupy raisins and figs with spiced chocolate and a silky texture, followed by a long, warming finish with a light tannic edge.
