This is a 19 year old rye whiskey from the Gray Label series by Barrell Craft Spirits. It was distilled in Canada and bottled in Kentucky at a cask strength of 64.15% ABV.
After maturation it was finished in three types of cask: Martinique rum, Madeira and apricot brandy. It is non-chill filtered and has no colour or flavour additives.
The tasting notes describe pineapple, toasted coconut, cinnamon and dried apricot on the nose. The palate brings spice cake, tropical fruit, caramel and dark molasses with a rich mouthfeel, and the finish is very long, with oak tannin, candied orange peel and spiced honey.
