Barrell Vantage is a cask-strength blended bourbon from Barrell Craft Spirits, bottled at 57.22% ABV in a 750ml bottle with no water added. It combines bourbon distilled in Indiana, Tennessee and Kentucky. Each component was finished separately in Japanese Mizunara oak, French oak or toasted American oak, then blended.
The nose offers graham cracker and dark chocolate, then cinnamon, creamy vanilla and resinous spice. The palate is oily, with toast, fig and crème brûlée, then green grapes, red plums, crystallised ginger and Szechuan pepper. The finish is long and warming, with nutmeg, tobacco leaf and orange zest fading into toasted oak.
