Barrell Whiskey 18 Year is a cask strength release in the Black Label Series from Barrell Craft Spirits, bottled uncut and unfiltered at 62.62% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
It blends 18-year-old Kentucky whiskey finished in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels with Canadian whiskies of 23 to 25 years old finished in Sauternes barrels. It was crafted and bottled in Kentucky.
The nose brings stewed plum, butterscotch, honeycomb, clove, fig jam and gingerbread. On the palate come dark fruit, chocolate-covered cherry, cinnamon, toffee and toasted oak, followed by a long, warm finish of wine-soaked wood and golden raisin.
