Barrell Whiskey Decade #2 is a 20 year old whiskey from the Barrell Black Label Series, bottled at a cask strength of 70.65% ABV (141.3 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It was distilled in Canada, then crafted and bottled in Kentucky.
It is a blend of whiskeys distilled each year from 1995 to 2005, given a secondary maturation in Spanish brandy casks and Hungarian oak casks.
The nose offers dark caramel, dried fruit, toasted oak and brandy-soaked cherry, with leather and baking spice. The palate is bold and concentrated, with toffee, maple, dark fruit and roasted nuts. The finish is long, with oak, spice and dried fruit.
