This is a 12 year old Kentucky straight bourbon from Barton, bottled at 48.3% in a 75cl bottle and released in 2020. It is brought to strength with iron-free Kentucky limestone water. The 1792 label went without an age statement after 2013, and the 12 year old brought one back in July 2019, with a single batch released each summer.
The nose offers vanilla, caramel, toffee and honey, with gentle oak. On the palate come walnut, toasted oak and rye spice, leading to a dry, oaky finish of medium length with bitter tannins and a little caramel and nuttiness.
