Barton 1792 Straight Rye Whiskey is a Kentucky straight rye bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It was distilled and aged in Bardstown, at the distillery behind 1792 Small Batch bourbon, and it is the first rye the brand has made.
The nose shows caramel, vanilla and cracked pepper, with cinnamon and dried orange. The palate is bold and spicy, with rye grain, brown sugar, clove and oak, and the finish is warm and peppery with a lingering sweetness.
