This is a Bas Armagnac from Castarède, made mainly from local white grapes such as Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche and Colombard grown on clay-limestone soils.
It is aged in oak tuns for several years, developing intense aromas of dried fruit, vanilla, sweet spices and toasted wood. On the palate it is balanced, soft and enveloping, with a warm, persistent finish.
It is suited to after-dinner sipping, and pairs with fine cigars or dark chocolate desserts.
