Basil Hayden is a small-batch Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 40% (80 proof) in a large 1.75 litre bottle. It is distilled in Clermont, Kentucky, and aged for a spicy-sweet flavour profile.
The nose combines charred oak with vanilla, caramel and hints of dried fruit. On the palate, charred oak meets brown sugar, a touch of black pepper and dried fruit, and the finish is pleasant and lingering, with charred oak and a touch of dried fruit.
