Basil Hayden is a small batch Kentucky straight bourbon, distilled and bottled in Clermont, Kentucky by the James B. Beam Distilling Co. It is bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) in a 750ml bottle, and is golden brown in colour.
The nose is charred oak and sweet vanilla caramel with hints of dried fruit. The palate adds brown sugar, a touch of black pepper and dried fruit to the charred oak, and the finish is lingering oak with a touch of dried fruit.
