Basil Hayden Malted Rye (75cl, 40%)

Basil Hayden Malted Rye is a Kentucky Straight Rye Malt Whiskey, bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is distilled by James B. Beam Distilling Co. in Clermont and Frankfort, Kentucky. The mashbill is 100% malted rye, which sets it apart from the rest of the Basil Hayden range and gives a gentler, sweeter profile than traditional rye whiskey. Cinnamon leads the nose, with warm vanilla and herbal mint. On the palate, cinnamon warmth gives way to spearmint and lime zest, with grassy notes, caramel and a trace of oak. The finish is medium, with spearmint, lime zest, chocolate and baking spice.
