Toasted and lightly charred oak finish
Basil Hayden Toast is a bourbon from Beam Suntory, bottled at 40% ABV. Its mash bill replaces the rye of the usual Basil Hayden recipe with 27% brown rice, alongside corn and malted barley. Part of the whiskey is finished in toasted and lightly charred oak barrels, then blended with bourbon that has not been finished and reduced to bottling strength. The nose combines brown sugar, caramel, buttered toast and cinnamon with light campfire smoke. The palate is soft, with vanilla, caramel, butterscotch and sweet corn. The finish is short and gentle, with brown sugar and cinnamon.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
