Basque Moonshiners – Bikkun Vatted Malt (70cl)

Bikkun Vatted Malt is a blended malt made by Basque Moonshiners in collaboration with Distell International, in a 70cl bottle. Bikkun is a Basque word for something done together, as a pair. The blend combines smoky malts from the Scottish islands with malts of marked sherry character from the Highlands. It is completed with Basque Moonshiners' own single malt, aged in Rioja Alavesa casks. The nose shows peat smoke and a light iodine touch, with soft fruit, pastry and dried fruit. The palate is medium-bodied and creamy with honey, liquorice and spice, and the finish is medium and slightly bitter.
