Bastille 1789 Single Malt French Whisky (75cl, 43%)

Bastille 1789 is a French single malt bottled at 43% in a 75cl bottle. It is made from malted barley grown in the north-east of France and distilled twice in Charente copper stills. The whisky is aged in Limousin oak barrels that previously held Sauternes, Red Burgundy and sherry. It was created by the Daucourt family, who run a family distillery in Charente. It has a deep amber colour. The palate is typically described as fruit, sweet spices and leather, ending in a slightly peaty finish.
