This is the first release in Bearface's Wilderness Series, a Canadian whisky made in Canada from 100% Canadian grains. It is bottled at 42.5% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
The whisky is aged for five years in oak and then finished with wild matsutake mushrooms. It is a limited release.
The palate is earthy and umami, layered with baking spice, dark fruit, toasted oak and a whisper of smoke. The texture is bold yet smooth, leading into a long, savoury finish.
