A traditional Czech herbal liqueur from Karlovy Vary, made with a secret recipe dating from 1807 and using more than twenty herbs and spices. Pale golden in colour, it has an intriguing aroma of cinnamon, clove, anise and aromatic herbs. On the palate it is surprisingly sweet, with a balance between sweetness and bitterness, and spicy aromatic notes that renew with each sip. It can be enjoyed neat, cold or at room temperature, and is also used in cocktails. At 38% vol it is commonly appreciated for its tonifying and digestive qualities.
