Belfour Small Batch is a straight rye whiskey bottled at 49.5% (99 proof). It was drawn from a selection of only 93 barrels.
The nose opens with black pepper, followed by tart apple and cinnamon, recalling a green apple danish fresh from the oven. On the palate come rich toffee, smoky tobacco and a slight bitterness of dark roast coffee. The finish is dry, with white pepper warmth and a hint of dark chocolate.
