This is a 10 year old Ben Nevis from the Highlands, distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2025 by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society as cask 78.87, named 'Like A Back Rub'. It is one of 253 bottles, in a 70cl bottle.
After four years in an ex-bourbon hogshead, the whisky was moved into a first fill oloroso hogshead for finishing.
The nose is full of barbecue: a charcoal-tinged rib rub of pepper, garlic, brown sugar and chilli, with smoked bacon and cured meat. With water, caramelised honey figs appear.
