A 16 year old single cask malt from Ben Nevis, bottled at 54.5%. The Highland distillery dates from 1825 and sits at the foot of Britain's highest mountain, which shares its name. It was founded by "Long" John McDonald.
The nose offers sweet fruit, cedar of a cigar box, heather and honey. On the palate there is rum-like sweetness and oils, heather flowers and oak. The finish is rich and oily, with honey, red fruit and dark chocolate, and it stays long in the mouth.
