First-fill Oloroso sherry quarter cask finish
This is a 12 year old Ben Nevis from the 2014 vintage, bottled by Rare Find as a single cask for Worth the Weight, its Autumn 2026 collection. It comes from cask 11122, in a 70cl bottle at a natural cask strength of 56.5%, with 167 bottles. The whisky was finished in a first-fill Oloroso sherry quarter cask, which added dried fruit, warming spice and sweetness to the bold, full-bodied style of the distillery. It is natural colour and non-chill-filtered. The nose is leafy sherry with hedgerow berries, sultanas, shortbread, buttery popcorn and bourbon biscuits. The palate is rich and oily, with chocolate digestives, red and black berries, butterscotch and building cinnamon and pepper. The finish is long, with ripe berries and dark chocolate.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
