Ben Nevis – 24 Year Old 1996 Old Malt Cask

This is a 24 year old Highland single malt from Ben Nevis, bottled by Hunter Laing & Co. for its Old Malt Cask series. It was distilled in 1996, matured in a single refill butt and bottled in June 2021. The release is made up of 296 bottles. The distillery's character is often described as robust, rich and slightly waxy, and refill wood lets that spirit come through, with orchard fruit, malt sweetness, spice and subtle oak building over the years.
