This Ben Nevis was distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2024 after 27 years, as a single cask, cask strength release in the Whisky Agency's Christmas Series 2024. It matured in a butt and comes at 53.3% ABV, without chill-filtration or added colour.
The colour is a deep, warm gold. The nose is led by smooth honey alongside strong oak, with ripe tropical fruit, especially papaya. On the palate the tropical fruit comes forward, its sweetness balanced by firm oak.
The finish stays sweet, with tropical fruit, oak and honey coming together.
