Ben Nevis – Coire Leis Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 46%)

This is a single malt from Ben Nevis, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It takes its name from Coire Leis, the rock formation on the mountain that also gave the distillery its name. The spring water used at the distillery runs down through that formation, and is said to be the highest-lying water source in Scotland. The nose combines cream caramel, honey and vanilla with oak and sweet barley. The palate is fruity and sweet, with ripe apricot and pear, sweet malt and a soft, creamy cask character.
